KC Chiefs Super Bowl Champs Once Again

Well, better late than never, huh. About two weeks late writing a few comments on the Super Bowl. It took 50 years to get back to the promise land of the NFL and win another Super Bowl for #ChiefsNation. I am not a #Chiefs fan, but was for three hours out of my Sunday night as the #Chiefs beat the #49ers 31-20 to claim Kansas City's second franchise Super Bowl.
I am not going to use the phase that I wanted the Chiefs to win because Kyle Shanahan was the 49ers coach, that is just old news, and the past is the past. There have been many times where I have thought it or even said it to people, but we just need to move on.
The Chiefs were just the better team, and it had been since Super Bowl IV since the Chiefs had won the title.
All throughout the playoffs the Chiefs had been down by double digit points and stormed back to win. Down 0-24 versus the Houston Texans, it only took a 58-yard kickoff return by KO/PR special Mecole Hardman to light a fire under the Chiefs. And have I mentioned Hardman is a Georgia Bulldog? Well, he is!!! Also, the Chiefs were down to the Titans early 7-17 in the AFC Championship game, and it seemed at that time the Chiefs had found their match as the Titans seemed to be able to run all over the Chiefs, lead by RB Derrick Henry, but that seemed to fade as well.
All through the playoffs it seemed that the Chiefs were destined to win the big game from all the comebacks that they had during the AFC playoffs. The Super Bowl was no different as the 49ers were up 20-10, then that faded in the second half as the Chiefs won 31-20. Only time will tell if they might be the next team of destiny with the young Patrick Maholmes and Tom Brady's future unclear in New England.
