Keuchel moving on from Braves

Well, that didn’t last long. Braves starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel, who was a free agent and signed with the Braves after the 2019 All-Star break, has jetted north to the south side of Chicago signing a 3-year $55.5 million contract with the Chicago White Sox. Keuchel pitched 112 innings in a shortened 2019 campaign where he went 8-8 with a 3.75 ERA. The Braves hoped that bringing in Keuchel would shore up the starting rotation and propel the team to the top and win that second World Series trophy for Atlanta. Well, that didn’t turn out that way and the Braves won the NL East for the second straight year, but that was it. Braves lost to the Cardinals in the divisional round three games to one.
With both Keuchel and Julio Terehan (Los Angeles Angels) with new teams for the 2020 season, the Braves have already signed free agent Cole Hamels and will add another starting pitcher sometime before training camp begins in late February be either free agency or a call up from the minors.
Currently the starting rotation is:
Cole Hamels
Max Fried
Mike Soroka
Mike Foltynewicz
Free Agent or minor league prospect
